BLOCKBUSTERS

Dear Thomas,

Further to your interest in 'Blockbusters' we would like to interview you as a potential contestant.

Your interview will be held at: THE BURLINGTON HOTEL, 6 Burlington Arcade, 126 New Street, Birmingham B2 4JH.

ON: Tuesday 21st November AT: 3.00pm

We have enclosed a map for your convenience. Please ensure that you report to the Reception at least 5 minutes before your audition time. They will tell you where to wait so that we can find you easily!

INTERVIEWS

The interviews are informal and should take approximately 60 minutes. You will be auditioned in a group of up to 15 other students (some of which may be from your school or college.)

You will be asked to introduce yourself. We know it can be a bit daunting but just tell us about your hobbies, interests, family, or schoolwork so that we can get to know you.

You will also be asked to fill in a question sheet with the types of questions used on the show - so if you normally wear glasses for reading please remember to bring them with you! We will be telling you all about the show at the interview - so don't worry if you don't remember 'Blockbusters'! The game can be played as a single contestant or as a pair; but we will be auditioning you individually.

We cannot tell you immediately whether or not you have been successful as we will be seeing people from all over the UK and only make our final selection when all our interviews are completed. Successful candidates will be contacted by phone during December & January - so don't give up hope!

EXPENSES

TRAVEL EXPENSES CANNOT BE PROVIDED FOR PEOPLE ATTENDING AUDITIONS but successful applicants will have all their expenses paid for travel (and accommodation where necessary) to attend the recordings which will take place in Leeds during January.

If you cannot attend the audition please telephone Kathy or Charlotte immediately so that we can give your space to someone else.

Also if you know any other students aged 16-19 who would be interested in taking part then please feel free to give him or her our telephone numbers and we will do our best to fit them in!
